These shrouds have been manufactured with best quality in mind. We have used the best materials possible, using US steel, machined with fit and finish in mind, reducing time required for fitting and polishing, and carefully heat treated to provide generations of use.

These bolt shrouds are NOT drop in parts. These bolt shrouds also require a modern trigger to be installed such as a Timney. This cost is NOT included in the cost of the bolt shroud. They will require a competent gunsmith and or machinist to install.

This bolt shroud may fit other models of Mauser 98, but please research compatibility prior to purchasing.

BRNO Model 21 uses a standard 98 bolt shroud, which this will replace. Standard installation is still required.

*** When you purchase, you will be asked to send in your bolt body to have a bolt shroud sized for it. We manufacture these in multiple sizes so as to not have loose thread fit. We can size your bolt shroud to be a tight fit requiring lapping, or that will fit with no modifications required. Due to the wide variance of threads we prefer not to ship without sizing, but we can send you our "standard" middle sized bolt which is the most commonly used.
