Early WW1 vintage Gewehr 98 receiver made by the Prussian State Arsenal at Spandau / Berlin in 1915. Overall good condition with all stamps and markings showing. At one point a gunsmith had started to sporterizer the receiver by filing the rear tang down for a slimmer stock profile. Good quality standard Mauser 98 receiver.
