Model 1902 .38 Military Hand Ejector Smith and Wesson
A fair to good condition Model 1902 also referred to as Military and Police Model. This pistol appears to be somewhat unique in that it was returned to Smith and Wesson, as shown by the star next to the serial number, the box B stamp, and 1.26 date code marked underneath the grip, as well as on the bottom flat of the barrel. This leads us to believe that the pistol was sent back to the factory where it was rebarreled from its original chambering in 38 S&W to 38 S&W Special. The barrel is marked both with the correct patent roll stamp on top, with the latest patent of 1901, but also marked 38 S&W Special & US Service CTG's.
Over all the pistol is in fair to good condition, retaining most of its original bluing, with freckled corrosion, and one rusty/pitting spot made worse by someone scraping the pitting off. Hammer retains some of its color case hardening, while the trigger is in the white. The grips are in very good condition, with remnant of the patent mark, no apparent cracks or chips, with little to no play. The 5" barrel is in good condition with some scattered pitting or dark spots, but mostly bright.
