Product Details
Produced by DWM under contract for the South African Republic during the Boer Wars, often referred to as a ZAR rifle, the shipment of rifles were interdicted by the British, and sent back to Germany. The rifles were then sold to Chile, and re rolled with their crest.
The rifles sold to ZAR were a 1893 system and not the 1885 system previously adopted by Chile. Most parts are interchangeable, but the stock, bolt, and receiver are different.
This rifle is a non matching example with ample dents, dings, and wear, however it exhibits all correct parts for the ZAR/OVS Rifles. Bore is fair with wear and pitting.
